Tang Hesong, GM of Chinese internet company Baidu's (Nasdaq: BIDU) business development department, recently said that e-commerce will not be a major investment focus for the company, explaining Baidu is a media platform and e-commerce requires a transaction-based platform, which would make it difficult to enter the market.
