Rumor: Nut Shell Electronics CEO Resigns

Tencent Tech, 10/23/12

Guo Chaohui, CEO of Shanda Interactive's e-book and handset subsidiary Nut Shell Electronics, reportedly tendered his resignation on October 19 and will step down next month. Guo refused to comment on the rumors, saying only that he is still on Shanda's payroll.

Before joining Shanda, Guo was north China region director for Motorola, followed by a stint as VP of Amazon.cn where he expanded the e-commerce site's 3C business including handsets and digital cameras.

Unconfirmed industry rumors claim that Nut Shell will soon undergo corporate restructuring, with the Bambook e-book business being shifted to Shanda's online literature subsidiary Cloudary while the handset business will remain with Nut Shell.
