Sogou Eyes 15% Share of Search Market Revenues in 2013

Netease Tech, 11/06/12

Wang Xiaochuan, CEO of Chinese Internet firm Sohu's (Nasdaq: SOHU) online search company Sogou, has announced that his company is looking to capture a 15% share of China's total search market revenue by the end of 2013.

According to Wang, the company's Sogou.com search engine has not been affected by the recent "Search Engine War" between Chinese internet companies (Nasdaq: BIDU) and Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU), because the majority of Sogou traffic is driven by the company's internet browser. Sogou plans to capture additional market share from Baidu in order to reach its 15% revenue share goal.
