China Telecom to Offer iPhone 5 by Year-End

China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) Chairman Wang Xiaochu revealed in an interview today that China Telecom has completed testing on the iPhone 5 and plans to launch the handset at the end of November or in early December. According to Wang, the company is currently waiting for a license to sell the phone from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
Apple CEO Tim Cook previously announced that the iPhone 5 would be released in Mainland China in December.
