Qihoo 360 Launches Mobile Search

According to Beijing Business Today, Chinese internet services and security software provider Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU) recently launched a version of the company's So.com search engine (m.so.com) optimized for mobile. The mobile search interface has the same basic design as the desktop version, but currently features only the Qihoo 360 logo and search bar (once a user inputs a query, the results page offers the option to conduct either a web search or news search). In contrast, the desktop version also offers the additional vertical search options of Video Search and Q&A Search, and also features a link to a search platform user tutorial.

Qihoo 360's Qihoo Search was quietly launched August 16, and subsequently, on September 20, Qihoo changed the the search engine's official domain name to So.com.

Qihoo 360 has yet to establish an independent team for its mobile search business.
