China Education Alliance Posts Q3 2012 Loss of USD 7 Mln

Chinese online and on-site education provider China Education Alliance (OTCQX: CEAI) today announced its financial results for the three months ended September 30, 2012. Q3 2012 revenue decreased 78.4% YoY to USD 2.1 mln from USD 9.6 mln during the same period in 2011.

Net loss for the third quarter of 2012 was USD 6.6 mln, as compared to net income of USD 3.0 mln for the third quarter of 2011.

Q3 2012 revenue from the on-line education division decreased by 88.8% YoY to USD 0.6 mln from USD 5.4 mln a year before. Revenue from the training center division decreased by 64.8% YoY to USD 1.5 mln from USD 4.1 mln a year before.
