Xiaomi to Open TMall Store

Beijing-based Android developer Xiaomi has opened an official flagship store on Alibaba Group's B2C e-commerce site TMall (http://xiaomi.tmall.com). The store has no items for sale at present, but the operator has been confirmed to be Xiaomi. An industry source said that the company's goal in opening the TMall store was to decrease visitor pressure on its own site.
Xiaomi did not respond to questions about when the store would open to the public. A source inside the company said that Xiaomi is still setting up its TMall store, which will sell existing Xiaomi products including the Mi2 handset, the Xiaomi "Youth Edition" handset, and the Xiaomi Mi1S.
