China's Local Government Bureaus Close 168 Illegal Shopping Sites

At a November 27 meeting in Hangzhou for online market supervisors for industrial and commercial systems from around the country, authorities reported that bureaus of industry and commerce around the country have investigated 290,000 websites to date this year, including on-site inspections of 28,000 website operators, and have deleted 7,140,000 illegal product listings, investigated 167 criminal cases, and shut down 168 illegal e-commerce sites.
