Shenzhen Satellite TV to Raise Ad Rates 20% in 2013

Wu Guanghai, deputy director of operations of Shenzhen Media Group's advertising center, recently disclosed that Shenzhen Satellite TV will increase ad rates by more than 20% in 2013, with rates for specialized ad products and during programming such as the Greater China Live news program and The Generation Show variety show increasing more than 50%.

Shenzhen Satellite TV's programming budget for 2013 will reach RMB 600 mln, and the cable TV operator has signed strategic agreements with Tencent (0700.HK), Sina (Nasdaq: SINA), Sohu (Nasdaq: SOHU) Video, and Youku Tudou (NYSE: YOKU).
