Xiaomi to Sell 350K Smartphones on November 29

Beijing-based Android developer Xiaomi has announced it will begin sales of 350,000 smartphones on November 29, including 200,000 Xiaomi Mi1S (including standard, youth, and China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) models) and 150,000 Xiaomi Mi2 smartphones. The Xiaomi Mi2 will be priced at RMB 1,999 (16GB) and RMB 2,299 (32GB), while the Mi1S will be available for RMB 1,299.

Xiaomi has already held three rounds of smartphone sales in November, with 150,000 Xiaomi Mi1S youth edition handsets and 100,000 standard Mi1S handsets sold in the first round on November 11; 300,000 Mi1S Youth and 100,000 Mi2s on November 19; and 200,000 Mi1S Youth on November 25. According to the official Xiaomi website, the company has sold 100,000 Mi2, 100,000 Mi1S Standard, and 650,000 Mi1S Youth phones this month, totaling 850,000 sold.
