Chinese group buy site Qianpin has confirmed rumors that it has laid off employees and closed several regional branches in Suzhou, Xiamen, Xi'an, Dongguan, and Handan, but added that it has made no staffing cuts at its headquarters. The layoffs are reportedly due to lack of funds.
