Huawei Wins Nepal Telecom GSM Equipment Contract

Nepalese telecom operator Nepal Telecom (NT) has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer Huawei to install 5.2 mln GSM lines in the country, according to Nepalese newspaper Republica. ZTE (0763.HK; 000063.SZ) and Ericsson previously declined to take the contract.
