Update: 360Buy Begins Closed Beta of Search Engine Marketing

Beijing-based B2C e-commerce platform 360Buy confirmed today that it is currently conducting closed beta testing of a search marketing platform, "360Buy Kuaiche" (unofficial translation: "360Buy Express"). 360Buy Kuaiche will display "product recommendations" and "selected products" at the right-hand side and bottom of search result pages, and will add a "recommendations and top-sellers" section at the top of third-tier sections under 360Buy's Clothing, Shoes, and Hats category. As the new sections will feature targeted advertising, they should result in relatively high conversion rates.
360Buy said that the goal of the new service is to offer customers high-quality product recommendations while helping 360Buy's client brands increase brand and product recognition. 360Buy senior VP Cheng Junyi said that the company's advertising systems will take customer preferences into account alongside advertiser bids, unlike rival C2C & B2C e-commerce site Taobao's Zhitongche paid search-ranking service.
