Tudou Drops Background Advertising

Victor Koo, chairman of Chinese online video site Youku Tudou (NYSE: YOKU), recently disclosed that Tudou has removed its major advertising product, background ads, in order to improve user experience and the advertising environment, reducing average video load time on the site by 8%.
