Xinhua, Feixun Communication Partner on Mobile Reading

Xinhua News Agency's Media Center and Shanghai-based networking and communication equipment developer and manufacturer Feixun Communication have signed a mobile reader partnership agreement. As a part of the agreement, Feixun Communication's China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) customized i700v smartphone will come preinstalled with "Xinhua Tong" and "China Wangshi" mobile reader tools.

"Xinhua Tong" is an integrated mobile reader app developed by Xinhua and Feixun Communication. The app integrates Xinhua breaking news, video, microblogging, and other news portals into a single app interface. China Wangshi is a news client app similar to Xinhua Tong developed independently by Xinhua.

The Xinhua Media Center was established at the end of 2012 to develop and operate products for Xinhua's media business.
