Locojoy to Launch Android Version of I'm MT Online

TechWeb, 2/26/13

Beijing-based mobile game developer Locojoy Technology revealed recently that it has begun development on an Android version of its mobile game I'm MT Online for a late March release. A number of mobile applications and game platforms, including 91 Wireless, Downjoy, UCWeb, Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU), handset developer Xiaomi, and CocoaChina/Chukong, are vying for Android resale rights to the game, with the top bidder so far offering more than RMB 10 mln. So far, Locojoy has not made any final decision as to whether it will offer exclusive or joint operation rights to the platform.

I'm MT Online, an anime-based game for iOS, first launched in late 2012. The game has since garnered more than 2 mln registered users, with over 1 mln active users. Locojoy signed an agreement for international operations in the Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan region in early February, before the Chinese New Year holiday.

Locojoy acquired global game adaptation rights to the title I'm MT in May 2012 for RMB 3 mln.
