China's Nationwide VAT Trials to Cover TV, Film, Telecom

The Standing Committee of China's State Council has announced that, beginning August 1, China will expand transportation and modern service industry value added tax (VAT) reform trials nationwide. The nationwide VAT reform trials will first cover China's film and television production, broadcast, and distribution industries, and will later be expanded to cover transportation and telecom industries.
