Rumor: Baidu Lays Off Baijob

Netease Tech, 4/25/13

A source close to Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) reported recently that the Chinese internet company will officially dissolve its online recruiting platform Baijob. The entire Baijob office will reportedly be vacated, and all team members will be able to contact Baidu HR regarding their exit paperwork. When contacted for comment, a Baijob spokesperson denied that Baijob had been broken up, saying that the company was undergoing "adjustments and optimizations." Baidu PR declined to comment.
