Rumor: Suning.com to Launch Local Life Channel

According to an industry source, Chinese consumer electronics and home appliances retailer Suning (002024.SZ) has completed closed beta testing of a local life channel to be launched on the company's e-commerce platform Suning.com in early-June. Suning has nearly finished recruiting businesses in first- and second-tier cities to include their information on the channel, which will be organized according to various criteria such as user reviews, group buy deals, and carry-out services. Suning is also actively seeking fresh produce merchants from all over China to be hosted on the channel.
