Qihoo 360 to Launch Smart TV Security Software

Chinese internet services and security software provider Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU) will launch a security app specifically developed for Android-based smart TVs and set-top boxes (STBs) called "360 TV Guard." Similar to the company's "360 Mobile Safe" mobile security app, "360 TV Guard" will also feature system performance optimization, anti-virus, software management, and network management features. The app will also offer screen adjustment and parental control features.

Chinese online video and Internet TV content provider LeTV (Leshi) (300104.SZ) had previously installed Qihoo 360's 360 TV Guard on the company's C1S Internet TV STB when the device was released in April of this year. However, the app was later taken down from LeTV's online app store for unknown reasons.
