Yahoo Acquires Beijing-based Big Data Analysis Firm

Beijing-based big data analysis firm Ztelic (Zhituo) announced today on the company's official site that it has been acquired by US internet company Yahoo for an undisclosed sum.

Ztelic provides big data analysis services for China's major SNS platforms, including social recruitment, social management, and other vertically applied social data services. Zheng Hao, founder of Ztelic, is a former architect at Yahoo's US research center, and has previously served as CTO of Yahoo's Beijing research center and CTO of Zynga's Asia operations. Upon completion of the acquisition, Zheng will return to Yahoo's Beijing research center at a VP-level position in charge of applied science and customized platform development.
