KongZhong to Release 7 Mobile Games in H2 2013

Zhang Yingnan, VP of Chinese mobile and online gaming company KongZhong (Nasdaq: KONG), has revealed that the company has seven mobile game development teams in 4 cities across China, and that the company plans to release 7 mobile games in H2 2013, for a total of 9 mobile games in 2013. Zhang also noted that the average development timeframe for KongZhong mobile games is between 8 to 10 months.

Editor's Note: Mobile games are KongZhong's third highest source of revenue behind internet games and mobile value-added services (WVAS). In 2012 and Q1 2013, revenues from mobile gaming represented 11% and 8%, respectively, of the company's total revenue.
