Hedy Establishes Two Mobile Gaming Subsidiaries

Chinese computer and handset manufacturer Hedy Holding (002027.SZ) has announced the establishment of two new subsidiaries through an initial investment of RMB 10 mln. The new companies, Guangzhou Shanyou and Guangzhou Changyou, will each receive RMB 5 mln in funding and will work primarily in game software design, development and operation.

Yan Xinyuan, Secretary of the Hedy's Board of Directors, has stated that development will focus on the mobile gaming sector, with game development to be overseen by Guangzhou Shanyou and game operation overseen by Guangzhou Changyou.

The two new companies posted job openings for mobile game developers on September 11, with the possibility of inviting an entire development team to join the company.
