MIIT: MVNO Users to Reach 50 Mln in 2015

The China Academy of Telecommunication Research (CATR), under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, has released an official forecast for China's nascent mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) market, stating that by the end of 2015, MVNO users will reach 50 mln and account for approximately 3% of total domestic mobile subscribers.

Chinese handset distributor Telling Telecom Holding (000829.SZ) and Beijing-based Internet messaging service provider SoShare Online Network Technology, among the first group of companies to obtain MVNO licenses, have said that they will not engage in price wars with China's major telecom operators.
