Beijing-based game developer Ultrapower Software (300002.SZ) has announced a strategic gaming partnership with Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU) subsidiary 360 International Development. Under the partnership, Ultrapower and Qihoo will cooperate in the gaming space, including product marketing and distribution.
Cooperation may include, but will not be limited to, usage of the two companies' products, sales, and distribution channels, and potential investment in joint venture companies.
Editor's Note: In August 2013, Ultrapower Software announced plans to acquire a 100% stake in Beijing-based mobile game developer Kemu Software for RMB 1.2 bln. In September, Ultrapower announced the purchase of a 20% stake in Beijing-based browser and mobile game developer and operator Zhongqing Longtu Network Technology for RMB 200 mln.
