Baidu's 'Danao Tiangong' January Revenue Hits RMB 100 Mln

Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) has announced that single-month revenue from the company's exclusively licensed 3D browser game Danao Tiangong crossed RMB 100 mln in January, becoming Baidu's first browser-based game to break the 9-digit monthly revenue barrier. Baidu is reportedly planning to release a host of new browser games following the Chinese New Year holiday (January 31 to February 6).

Danao Tiangong generated over RMB 10 mln in revenue during the game's first month of operation in 2013 (closed beta testing began in May 2013), while taking in more than RMB 50 mln in its second month.
