Shenzhen Launches Tax Rebates for Online Exporters

Shenzhen Economic Daily, 6/25/14

Local government offices in Shenzhen have begun trials on a tax rebate program for e-commerce merchants selling products overseas. Beijing-based English-language wholesale B2C e-commerce platform LightInTheBox (NYSE: LITB) received the first rebate under the program for approximately RMB 29,000 from the Shenzhen Provincial Office of the State Administration of Taxation (SAT). The rebate covers certain products exported through LightInTheBox's cross-border e-commerce platform last year.
