Tencent Invests USD 70 Mln in Online Medical Portal DXY

Guanlan Network, operator of online medical portal Dxy.cn, announced today that the company will soon receive a USD 70 mln strategic investment from Chinese internet firm Tencent (0700.HK). The DXY founding team will maintain a controlling interest in the company and hold the majority of the seats on its board of directors upon completion of the investment. After the investment is completed, DXY services will be integrated into Tencent's mobile chat apps WeChat and QQ Mobile. DXY offers both medical professional- and patient-facing online health information services.
