Rumor: Lenovo App Store Acquires Wandoujia

DoNews, 2/06/15

Chang Cheng, a senior executive at online-only retailer ShenQi (also previously referred to as Fancy Maker), a subsidiary of Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer Lenovo (0992.HK), has revealed on his personal Weibo microblogging account that "there is no better investment than the acquisition of Mobile Android app store Wandoujia by the Lenovo App Store."

This indicates that the Lenovo App Store has completed an acquisition of Wandoujia, although no specifics regarding the acquisition price have emerged. Informed sources at both firms told a DoNews journalist that neither side will confirm the news.
