Wanda's Mtime Updates Mobile Apps, Launches Film-related Live Broadcast Channel

Online movie information portal Mtime.com has updated both its mobile apps, Mtime and Mtime Pro, with the former integrating a film-related live broadcasting feature and the latter improving upon its existing features.
Mtime is operated by Dongyi Shiguang Network Technology, a subsidiary of Chinese cinema chain operator Wanda Cinema Line (002739.SZ), and launched the film industry-focused Mtime Pro app in December last year.
Mtime Pro adds production data statistics and film comparison functions. Users can look up information about the number of films of different categories currently on the market, box office trends, and the breakdown of box office receipts over time. The pro version adds more detailed functions for analyzing filmmakers, such as connections between filmmakers and actors and the box office performance of different types of films in which they acted or which they helped produce. The film box office comparison function allows the user to select films, theaters, and cinema chains for comparison.
Mtime Live is a live broadcast channel within the standard Mtime mobile app which covers events in real-time, including film premieres, press conferences, and fan events. These events are also broadcast on screens at Wanda's malls and cinemas. The live broadcast window in the app also offers information about filmmakers and actors along with ticket purchasing buttons and derivative product advertisements to provide a purchasing entry point for viewers.
