Baby Food Short Video Platform 'Little Darling' Wins 7-digit Angel Funding

Baby food short video platform "Xiaoxingan" (literally "Little Darling") recently completed RMB 7-digit angel funding from an unnamed individual investor.
Xiaoxingan operates through a public account on Tencent's (0700.HK) WeChat mobile messaging app and offers short videos about recipes and foods for children between 1 and 10 years old. It has partnerships with short video app Miaopai, childcare portal Babytree.com, mothers' social networking site Baobaoshu Shiguang, and recipe-sharing platform Xiachufang.com.
Xiaoxingan's short videos have been viewed nearly 300 mln times, mainly by mobile users. One of its videos about "prawns and pineapple rice" has been played more than 20 mln times on Miaopai alone. The Xiaoxingan public account on WeChat has more than 100,000 fans and its social community has more than 3,000 user groups with more than 100 members. It also has more than 20 parenting groups with at least 500 active members.
