Tutor Matching App Qingqing Jiajiao Raises USD 18 Mln Series C+

Guangzhou-based Qingqing Education Technology, operator of tutor matching app Qingqing Jiajiao, recently completed USD 18 mln Series C+ funding from K-12 after-school tutoring services provider TAL Education Group (NYSE: TAL).
Qingqing Education CEO Liu Changke said that, in addition to the platform's existing one-on-one, at-home tutor matching services, Qingqing Jiajiao plans to launch online, remote, one-on-one education services this year, as well as offer live course broadcasts and expert Q&A value-added services.
The Qingqing Jiajiao platform operates in eleven cities including Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, and Wuhan, and has provided more than 1 mln hours of educational services to over 200,000 households. The platform is currently growing by more than 20% per month.
Qingqing Jiajiao will also strengthen its partnership with TAL Education Group and increase investment in education to further develop its educational service system.
Qingqing Education previously completed USD 100 mln Series C funding from TAL Education Group in June 2015 and USD 15 mln Series B funding in April from Sequoia Capital, Trust Bridge Partners, and IDG Capital Partners. According to online media outlet IT Juzi, Qingqing Education also completed USD 7-digit Series A funding from Trust Bridge Partners and IDG Capital Partners in September 2014.
