Beijing Municipal Government Implements Online Car Hire Provisions

With the end of the five-month transition period for implementation of online car booking service regulations in Beijing, drivers without a local household registration and vehicles without a local license plate are now officially banned in Beijing. An investigation of the online car hire market suggests that all major operators have stopped sending cars with non-local plates.
