Chinese internet and mobile services firm Tencent's (0700.HK) cloud services division, Tencent Cloud, recently signed a strategic partnership agreement with online game operator Changyou (Nasdaq: CYOU) to promote the application and overall adoption of hybrid cloud architecture in the gaming industry.
Aside from basic cloud computing services, Tencent Cloud will also provide Changyou with additional services including in-game voice chat, image recognition, and professional mobile game QA testing, in order to speed up Changyou's transition to the cloud.
Tencent Cloud has connected with Changyou's self-operated internet data center. Changyou will be able to deploy custom hybrid cloud solutions according to the special characteristics and needs of its business to fulfill the data security and stability needs of its users. Changyou, a subsidiary of internet company Sohu (Nasdaq: SOHU), can also use public cloud solutions to maximize cost savings and enjoy flexible deployment for the gaming industry.
