Japanese Imports M-commerce App 'Princess Pea' Raises USD 68 Mln Series C

Beijing-based Liangshi Wuji Technology, developer of Japanese imports m-commerce app Princess Pea, announced today the completion of USD 68 mln in Series C funding jointly from Japanese general trading company Itochu Corporation, Japanese telecom operator KDDI Corporation, and Japanese financial service company SBI Group. Including the approximately USD 46 mln raised across Series A, A+, and B rounds, Princess Pea has raised more than USD 110 mln within 22 months.

Itochu Corporation invested nearly USD 40 mln in Princess Pea, who will become a core strategic partner for Itochu's cross-border business. Itochu will link all of its resources with Princess Pea.

KDDI's investment is also strategic, and Princess Pea will join KDDI owned e-commerce platform Wowma!, connecting it to 47 mln members and mutually complementing resources.

Princess Pea also announced the formation of Wonder Japan Cross-Border Syndication to augment its cross-border supply chain.
