WeChat Applet-based Game "Tiao Yi Tiao" Begins Soliciting Brand Advertisers

Chinese internet company Tencent's (0700.HK) WeChat applet-based game "Tiao Yi Tiao" (literally "Jump Jump") recently announced that it is officially recruiting merchant advertising partners. Tiao Yi Tiao said that its brand advertising program will support several benefits:
1. Custom brand boxes: brands can create a variety of special brand boxes within the game. The box's surface will change after a player jumps on the box, and players will be able to earn 20 extra points by staying on the box for a period of time, while the box plays a special animation.
2. Custom sounds: when a player's character jumps onto a brand's box, the box can play brand-related sound effects.
3. Official IP licensing: Brands can also obtain official IP licenses from WeChat, allowing them to use Tiao Yi Tiao intellectual property for their own brand promotions.
In terms of pricing, Tiao Yi Tiao said that advertising fees are set at RMB 5 mln for one day, RMB 10 mln for two days, and RMB 20 mln for three days.
Tiao Yi Tiao has previously experimented with advertising partnerships with brands including McDonalds and Nike.
