Richard Liu, chairman and CEO of Chinese B2C e-commerce platform JD.com (Nasdaq: JD), recently traveled to Madrid to attend the World Retail Congress and promote JD.com's new Spanish language platform Joybuy.es.
Joybuy.es, which began open beta testing on April 12, will mainly target the Spanish market, reach into Latin America, and serve the world's 400 mln Spanish speakers. JD.com will use cross-border direct mail and direct delivery from Spanish warehouses to provide Spanish users with quality products from China and the rest of the world. JD.com will set up its own warehouse in Spain before the end of the year.
