Qianxun Spatial Intelligence Launches Drone Supervision Platform

Qianxun Spatial Intelligence, a joint venture between Chinese internet conglomerate Alibaba (NYSE: BABA) and state-owned weapons manufacturer Norinco Group, recently announced the launch of a drone monitoring platform called "Zhiyi" (roughly "Known Wings").

The platform uses Qianxun Spatial Intelligence's location data service FindS to integrate vector and satellite image base maps into nationwide 3D terrain data. Drones connected to the Zhiyi platform can be tracked in real-time with 3D visualization in order to meet regulatory needs and ensure safe flying.

Qianxun Spatial Intelligence has also begun construction of a service cloud platform within the Zhiyi platform to target different application scenarios. The first announced application, an integrated solution for crop field data cloud, connects drone surveillance, daily management, and data services.
