Suzhou-based Bona Xundong Software, operator of cloud service brand BoCloud, recently completed nearly RMB 100 mln in Series B+ funding from JCloud, Chinese B2C e-commerce platform JD.com's (Nasdaq: JD) cloud service platform for developers and merchants, and JD.com's online financing and retail investment platform JD Finance. The investment gives JCloud authority to appoint one director to the BoCloud board.
JD Finance and BoCloud plan to work together to create "one-stop solutions" in the financial technology domain, to help financial industry clients digitize their operations.
BoCloud was established in 2012 and focuses on the PaaS platform-level cloud computing market. Over the past six years it has leveraged open source technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Jenkins to provide container solutions and automated operations and maintenance solutions for finance, power industry, and government clients.
