JD Logistics, ABB Ally on Logistics Smart Manufacturing and Robot Product Supply Chain

Chinese B2C e-commerce platform JD.com's (Nasdaq: JD) self-operated logistics business, JD Logistics, and robot technology and solutions provider ABB recently signed a strategic partnership agreement to cooperate on logistics industry smart manufacturing and robot product supply chain services.
Under the agreement, JD Logistics and ABB will focus on advancing the automation design of logistics industry smart devices such as industrial robots, and improving automated production lines. The parties will also connect their information and technology flow resources to create smart logistics industry solutions.
In addition, JD Logistics will open up its nationwide network of logistics facilities to ABB and provide warehouse and logistics services. The parties will also use smart warehouse systems to promote storage space sharing for their distribution channels and platforms, and will help ABB to optimize its supply chains by using technologies for smart supply chain and big data forecasting to support sales prediction and smart inventory transfers.
