China Telecom's 5G Subscriber Base Nears 11 Mln in February 2020

China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) reported a net decline of 5.60 mln mobile subscribers in February, dropping its total to 330.40 mln, of which 10.73 mln were 5G package subscribers. Starting from January 2020, to align with the company's mobile business development strategy, the company started disclosing 5G package subscriber figures, but stopped disclosing 4G subscriber figures.
China Telecom lost 0.30 mln fixed-line telephone subs in February, reducing its total to 110.47 mln.
China Telecom saw a drop of 0.81 mln fixed-line broadband subscribers (registered accounts) during the month, reducing its total to 151.88 mln.
