China Adds 0.87 Mln 5G Base Stations in 2024

China's total number of deployed 5G base stations reached approximately 4.25 mln by the end of December 2024, representing an increase of approximately 0.87 mln since the end of 2023, according to key communications industry infrastructure indicators released today by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Other key communications industry infrastructure stats as of the end of Q4 2024 are as detailed in the table below:
