Nokia to Release N8 Smartphone in China, 8/25/10

Nokia today announced via China's major social networking sites (Sina Microblog, Renren, Kaixin001 and Youku) the domestic release of its Nokia N8 handset. Starting September 24, Chinese consumers will be able to pre-order the Nokia N8 for RMB 5,728 and RMB 4,868 via Nokia's online and offline retail outlets.

The Nokia N8 is a WCDMA smartphone running Symbian 3, equipped with the Ovi app store, Ovi Maps and Nokia and A8's "Comes With Music" service. It also comes preinstalled with Phoenix TV, Youku, Hunan-based broadcasting network Golden Eagle Broadcasting System's (GBS) Mango TV, Tudou, China National Radio, Sina and Sohu entertainment interactive video services, as well as social networking services such as Renren and Kaixin001.
