ZTE Expects 2011 Enterprise Cloud Revenue to Exceed RMB 2 Bln

Chinese telecom equipment and terminal manufacturer ZTE (0763.HK; 000063.SZ) today announced at the ZTE Analysts Conference 2011 in Shenzhen that it expects enterprise cloud computing products to generate over USD 2 bln in revenue in 2011. Products offered will include datacom products, enterprise networks and servers, and storage products for government networks.

Senior VP Wang Wei said ZTE aims to become one of the top three solutions providers in the market for telecom operators, providing an entire range of solutions including PaaS (Platform as a service), SaaS (Software as a service), and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service).

According to ZTE president Shi Lirong, the company expects that 1/3 of its total revenue will come from cloud computing in the future.

ZTE has set up a cloud computing and IT operation division, assigning more than 3,000 people to develop its cloud computing solutions.
