Nokia Releases Lumia 800C in Beijing

Beijing Morning Post, 4/10/12

China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) subsidiary Beijing Telecom recently revealed that the Nokia Lumia 800C has been released in Beijing. Free phones are on offer to users purchasing China Telecom service plans of RMB 289 and above. The phone was released in March 2012, with China Telecom as the first mainland operator to cooperate with Nokia WP mobile phones. China Telecom is offering two types of service plan subsidies for the Nokia Lumia 800C, one by which an upfront deposit from customers wins them a free phone, and the other by which purchasing Windows phones earns customers a monthly plan rebate. Altogether there are 11 different subsidy packages. Additionally, China Telecom is offering a linked number service plan for the phone.
