Beijing Office of China's Tax Bureau Taps Alibaba for Smart Tax Administration Services

The Beijing Municipal Office of China's State Administration of Taxation (BMOSAT) and Chinese e-commerce conglomerate Alibaba Group's (NYSE: BABA) cloud computing arm Alibaba Cloud have signed a strategic partnership agreement to promote cloud computing, big data, and AI technology for applications in the sphere of tax administration.
BMOSAT will introduce Alibaba Cloud's enterprise-grade internet architecture and build hybrid cloud service and data platforms to carry out data storage, transmission, and application. BMOSAT will also integrate Alibaba Cloud's ET smart customer service platform to provide online consultation and business processing services to taxpayers.
The two sides will also establish a joint research center for smart taxation management to explore algorithm applications in areas such as smart tax audit case selection, dynamic credit score management, and taxation risk management for large corporations. The two sides will also build a BMOSAT "smart tax administration IT platform."
