MIIT: China's Mobile Subscriber Base Up 840,000 in December 2021

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released its national telecom industry statistics for the month of December 2021. China's total number of mobile service subscribers increased by approximately 840,000 during the period to reach nearly 1.643 bln.

3. The 100M or Faster FTTH/O User figures in the table above include 1,000M or Faster FTTH/O Users.
Editor's Note: The accounting methods used by the MIIT in calculating China's telecom industry statistics differ from those used by China's telecom operators. As a result, the figures reported by the MIIT for any given month typically do not match the aggregate totals reported by China's three main telecom operators for the same month.
