Hony Media to Expand into Robotics, Change Name to Airobo

Chinese entertainment, media, and healthcare services firm Hony Media (0419.HK) has announced plans to expand into the robotics platform operation business, and to change the company's English name from "Hony Media Group" to "AIROBO Platform Group Limited", and Chinese name from "弘毅文化集團" to "AIROBO平台集團有限公司".
Reasons for the Proposed Change of Company Name
Hony Media is principally engaged in investment holding, including (i) digitized operation services in the healthcare industry; and (ii) entertainment and media business. As part of the company's strategy to progressively optimize its portfolio of business segments over the long term, Hony Media is expanding into the robotics platform operation business.
Given that AI capabilities have been heavily adopted and utilized in the sector of digitized operation services in the healthcare industry and the application of AI is now further extended to the robotics platform operation business, Hony Media's board considers that the proposed change of company name will better reflect the current status of the company's business development and provide the company with a more appropriate corporate image and identity which will benefit the company's future business development.
Hony Media will hold an extraordinary general meeting on September 29, 2026 to consider and, if thought fit, pass a resolution to change the company name.
