Guangdong Mobile Halts Cooperation with 12 SPs

Guangdong Mobile has issued a notice stating that it has ended its partnership with 12 wireless value-added service providers (SPs) found to have engaged in false user subscriptions, forced subscriptions, and other unauthorized behavior, and will take the SPs offline for local users and report the SPs to its parent company for processing. Fees paid to the infringing SPs will be returned to users. Among the 12 SPs was Guangzhou Jiubang Digital Tech, the startup behind free WAP portal 3G.cn.
