Unicom Staff Moves to China Telecom

Sources have revealed that China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) held a farewell party on October 14 for all staff moving to China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK). More than 180 employees at China Unicom's headquarters will be relocated to China Telecom, of whom approximately 9 are middle- and senior managers, including Zhang Mingtian, GM of the former CDMA operations department; Zhang Hongtao, GM of the former network construction department; and Lv Suoli, GM for China Unicom's corporate customer department. Staff members already officially working for China Telecom include Zhou Xiaoping, the deputy GM of Unicom's former CDMA Operations Department, and Ma Daojie, deputy GM of Unicom Huasheng.
